Early Morning Prayers is a compilation of color marker images created between 4 and 6am. Instead of writing dreams or journaling, these few creations came forth from the subconscious when I was barely awake. Often words, snippets of thoughts or poems arrived with the images. I believe the poems and Early Morning Prayers are the manifestation of a sacred space within me.
I did my best not to interfere with this mysterious natural flow and went back to sleep. Upon awakening after 6am, I was delightfully surprised when a page from my sketch book was filled.
The magical flow has ended. I have waited six years for a materializing of more spontaneous images from my soul in the wee hours of the day. This has not happened; therefore, I honor that wondrous experience by sharing with you.
